FREE GYM OWNER ASSESSMENT
Get More Students
How well does your gym turn interest into enrollment?
You opened your gym to teach martial arts, develop students, and build something meaningful—not to constantly chase leads or worry about potential students slipping through the cracks.
This quick self-check will help you identify where interested people are getting lost between their first inquiry, their first class, and their decision to join.
The goal isn't simply more inquiries. It's a more reliable way to welcome and enroll the right students.
Where are potential students slipping through the cracks?
The Inquiry-to-Enrollment Check — 10 Questions
Think about how your gym operates today, not how you hope it operates.
For each statement, consider how strongly you agree or disagree.
Scoring guide:
Strongly disagree = −2
Disagree = −1
Neutral = 0
Agree = +1
Strongly agree = +2
Be honest with yourself. There are no right or wrong answers.
You can read through the questions and reflect, or write down your scores to identify areas that may need attention.
You don't need to share your answers to benefit from this assessment.
Getting and enrolling new students
Clear positioning. Potential students can quickly understand who our gym serves, what we offer, and why they should train with us rather than somewhere else.
Consistent inquiry generation. We have at least one repeatable way to generate inquiries from the kinds of students we want, rather than depending entirely on chance, word of mouth, or occasional promotions.
Easy first step. Someone interested in training can easily find and take the next step, such as contacting us, scheduling an introduction, or booking a trial class.
No inquiry falls through the cracks. We record incoming inquiries in one place and know who is responsible for the next action.
Prompt, consistent responses. New inquiries receive a timely, helpful response through a process that works even during busy teaching hours.
Reliable booking and confirmation. We have a consistent process for scheduling first visits and confirming the details so prospective students know when to arrive and what to expect.
Welcoming first experience. First-time visitors receive a welcoming, guided experience that helps them feel comfortable, understand the gym, and see how training could fit into their lives.
Clear enrollment conversation. We consistently explain suitable membership options, answer questions, and invite prospective students to enroll without using high-pressure sales tactics.
Respectful follow-up. People who inquire but don't book, miss their first visit, or try a class without joining receive timely, appropriate follow-up instead of simply disappearing from our radar.
Know our conversion numbers. We track how many people inquire, book a first visit, attend, and enroll, so we can identify where people drop out of the process.
What your answers reveal
If you recorded a score for each of the ten statements, add them together.
Possible total score: −20 to +20
A higher score suggests your gym may have more consistent systems for attracting interested people and helping them become enrolled students.
But your overall score isn't the most important thing.
Look especially at the statements where you answered Strongly Disagree (−2) or Disagree (−1).
These answers may reveal where potential students are slipping through the cracks.
You might discover that your gym doesn't need more advertising yet. Instead, you may need a better process for responding to inquiries, confirming trial classes, welcoming visitors, or following up with people who haven't enrolled.
Even a positive overall score can hide an important weakness.
